Ptex is an efficient Per-Face Texture Mapping method developed by Brent Burley and Dylan Lacewell.
It does not use UV coordinates but stores a separate texure per face in
a single texture file for a given mesh and supports multi-resolution
textures for MIP mapping. More information on the functions of the
plugin can be found in the Ptex Shader manual.
Available for: Windows / Mac OS X both 32 and 64 bit, for Cinema4D Versions R11 and anything later.
Feature:
- Import and render Ptex Textures along with their model data
- Supports Quad Meshes and Triangle Meshes (i.e. Ptex TriTextures)
- Correctly interpretes Ptex Subfaces, i.e. Meshes using both Quads and Triangles
- Automatic seamless anisotropic filtering (MIP mapping)
- Remains stable under Cinema 4D Deformers or other Mesh-Tools which prevails polygons
- Provides options for Filter Types and MIP mapping Interpolation
- Renders fine with VRay or m4d - mental ray for Cinema 4D
- Can be baked as UV Texture
